Counselors are at the core of Camp Good News. Our team brings a range of camp skills, enthusiasm for working with children, and a strong commitment to safety. They support each camper’s emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being while upholding the mission and policies of Camp Good News. Our hard working staff are selected on the basis of their camp skills, ability to relate well with others, sense of responsibility, and joy in helping their campers have an amazing summer.
Camp Good News is hiring for summer 2026—counselors, kitchen staff, waterfront, nursing, and grounds crew needed.
Requirements
Pre-camp training lasts ten days starting mid-June, with camp running through mid-August. Counselors are 17 or older, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, have strong leadership and communication skills. Staff earn $300-350 / week. They facilitate indoor and outdoor activities, including games, music, crafts, singing, field trips, chapel, discussion groups, and cabin life. Having certifications in archery, tennis, low ropes, or waterfront activities such as swimming or boating is a valuable asset.
