Company Overview
Counseling and Trauma Services LLC is an outpatient mental health counseling private practice that does general outpatient mental health counseling with a specialty in mental health trauma. Therapists are encouraged but not required to become trained in EMDR and / or other trauma therapies. Currently all of our therapist have had EMDR training which is very useful when working with clients with simple and complex PTSD and dissociative disorders.
Clinical staff are encouraged to attend a weekly hour long consultation to discuss clinical challenges, successes and overall focus on therapist self care. Therapists are encouraged to keep up to date in their fields and are very supportive of each other. Professional growth is strongly encouraged.
We have two locations. The main office is in McMurray, PA and a satellite office is in Burgettstown at the offices of a local PCP. Currently two staff attend the Burgettstown office on Wednesdays only.
Company History
Counseling and Trauma Services LLC was started by Pauline Amaismeier, LPC, RN-BC in 2009. It has grown to currently having a total of 5 full or part time therapists.
